Last week myself and a car full of intrepid photographers set off on the epic journey down from th’ills to the annual photographers trade show at the NEC – Focus on Imaging.
I had my eye on a few companies products with a view to adding them to my own offerings, I had done my research and after a short wander around I arrived at one of these suppliers, an Italian album company called Graphistudio. I had been thinking of adding GraphiStudio books for most of the previous two seasons and after some research and the launch of a new album innovation called the Digital Matted album I was keen to learn more.
During my research I had come across some information that needed a little clarification and me being me I asked some questions 🙂 I was really very impressed with how these questions were handled, a very fast and professional response that made total sense to me and direct from the owner of the company Tullio Tramontina I could never ever have imagined what he had done for me.
What happened next quite literally left me lost for words, I was at the GraphiStudio display pawing through the beautiful new albums when one of the girls on the stand, asked if I needed any assistance. At that point I was fine just looking but when she saw my name badge on the lanyard around my neck she got quite animated and excited………………. now, lets just say the question I asked of the company was quite a serious one and I was now face to face with this company and being asked to stay put and not move – eeeeeeek………………….
I promised to come back!
Upon my return I was greeted by Chiara, Alice, Jeremy and Martin and a couple of others from GraphiStudio and taken to the seating area at the back of the stand.
All the staff on the GraphiStudio stand had been asked to keep their eyes peeled for me stopping by…….
Wow – just wow, Tullio had sent with the trade stand delivery a gift for me, a new GraphiStudio Digital Matted album, brimming with my own images as a showcase of the new album innovation and as a thank you for the feedback offered. I was genuinely speechless, mix this with the lovely staff and the mild mickey taking and we have a company that I am very much looking forward to dealing with.
My GraphiStudio Digital Matted album sample gets its first outing at a consultation with a Bride and Groom tomorrow, for now, as I understand it, this GraphiStudio Digital Matted album is the first custom book in the UK – that makes me feel pretty special and I am looking forward to seeing the new software and design process.
Thank you Tullio, GraphiStudio. (and of course Chiara for the translations 🙂 )
