It was back in June when we arranged Lisa and Stuart’s pre wedding photo shoot in Kendal. A pre-wedding photo shoot can also be called an engagement photo-shoot and is included with my full day wedding collections. It is great to use our natural surroundings, often it is somewhere special to the Bride and Groom and can be booked any time once the weddings contracts are exchanged. Dependent on the length of time between booking and the wedding date this can often mean the choice of all four seasons.
Lisa and Stuart chose a warm sunny afternoon in Summer for their shoot and left the location up to me, well Stuart requested somewhere fairly quiet. Of course I have lots and lots of locations up my sleeve, some work in Summer, some Winter, some in bad weather. All when used correctly give a unique look for the couple. In the past I have photographed engagement sessions where the couple actually got engaged – not possible this time due to Stuart proposing on the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge during their prizewinning trip with ITV, Kate Garraway and Daybreak Down Under. I always do the Daybreak Competition now, in the vain hope of winning something 🙂
A pre-wedding shoot is great fun and from the images taken I produce a ‘Signature Mount’ for your wedding day, this is a couple of images that work well together mounted ready for framing, a wide bespoke mount is used to enable guests to write their special messages for you on your wedding day and makes a wonderful lasting memory once framed and on the wall.
Obviously I am writing this blog post in Movember and the pre-wedding shoot was back in June – yes, I have a few posts to catch up on 🙂
If you would like to chat about the photography for your wedding please do not hesitate to get in touch, I am a full time professional photographer in Kendal, Cumbria serving weddings in the Lake District, throughout the UK and in 2013 my first European wedding in the Sun :).
