Friday the 2nd of December saw the marriage of Andy and Amanda at the Whoop Hall near the historic market town of Kirkby Lonsdale.
There were minor worries – ok huge worries from Amanda that it would snow but I told her, like I tell all Brides to simply not watch or listen to the weather forecast as it is only something else to worry about and something that you cannot influence!
On the morning of the wedding I arrived at the Brides house in good time to be greeted with a sea of total calm, I was handed a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich and made to feel really welcome – organisation like a military exercise – perfect!
Andy and Amanda chose to have a Pre-Wedding photo-shoot and this was the first time I had met her, although I have known the groom for quite some time and spent rather a lot of money with him over the years ( he works in my local camera shop 🙂 ) I warmed to them as a couple straight away and knew we would have fun at the Wedding!
Amanda’s hair and make-up looked beautiful, her wedding flowers arrived from Flower Bank in Hornby and they looked gorgeous, warm deep red roses – we were all set!
I made my way from the Bride’s house to the Whoop Hall and met the wedding coordinator Aidy who the introduced me to the Registrars from Lancaster, they were great to work with, really easy going which I am finding more and more with local registrars, wonderful!
It was a small intimate ceremony and Amanda was given away by her son, a very polite and energetic little chap and clearly excited about the joining of Andy and Amanda. Following the service the guests were treated to a beautiful seasonal spread – Christmas Dinner!
Soon our evening entertainment arrived, Stuart Michaels from Live Entertainment UK I knew from the soundcheck that we would be in for a great night and we were not disappointed, Stuart as well as being a DJ is an awesome singer and through the evening he performed an amazing set of numbers from the 50’s right through to the modern day, all the while keeping the dance floor packed and everybody dancing…………
I left the newlyweds and their guests boogying the night away – brilliant!
