Aspire Photography Training is a world-renowned Photography Training company based in Burton -in-Kendal, close to the English Lake District.
Earlier this year I was delighted, should that be honoured to be asked to join the training team by Catherine Connor, I have had a close relationship with the company since becoming a graduate of the Bespoke course a couple of years back and my connections stretch back even further to the first ever Bespoke course for which I was a model!
I am in touch with the guys at Aspire quite regularly, especially Mel, Jane, Catherine and Rachel and it is these people that I thank for getting me to where I am today – a great team!
So, today 8th July saw Aspire open its doors to photographers that had registered from all over the country to come and hear all about Aspire, who they are and what they offer, Catherine Connor is regarded as one of the best by industry leaders in all aspects of running a photography business and between Catherine and Jane Breakall a morning of inspiration, motivation and the aspirations of the delegates were discussed, some really interesting stories and genuine passion for the photography industry.
As ever lunch was fantastic and then it was my turn !
Rachel Hayton, Aspire’s model co-ordinator had worked her magic and I met Keisha and Christie in the ‘Green Room’ to discuss what we would be doing and select some outfits from the selection they had brought. My main objective was to show the fantastic facility that is available to Aspire, its wonderful to get to the cattle grid at the top of the drive and look out over the estate, trees, acres of meadow, sheep, squirrels – put simply a bloody brilliant place!
Rachel had prepared us some props, not really a training session proper, more to show that rain or shine that Aspire has a magnificent place to train both photography and the business of photography, great light, whatever the weather!
Happy, happy days and also brilliant to see one of the delegates brought along her Hasselblad 503cx – Proper kit !
Massive thanks to Mel, Catherine, Jane, Rachel and all the team at Aspire, also to our models today. I hope all the visitors got home safe and sound and that I see you again soon on a seminar at Aspire!
It was also announced this week that acclaimed Mexican wedding photographer Fer Juaristi will be making the journey from Mexico to speak at Aspire in December, call Mel to discuss further but like Jessica Claire last year, this is a seminar that will sell out very, very fast so be quick!
