It was great to get an email from Sarah asking if I would photograph her Wedding, a couple of years ago I photographed her daughter Daisy and it was wonderful news that her and Ste were to tie the knot.
Sarah and Ste will be married at Ashton-in- Makerfield in a couple of weeks time so we arranged for them to come up to the South Lakes for their Pre-Wedding shoot, Pre-Wedding shoots are called a few different things by different photographers, Engagement Shoots, E-Shoots, and so it goes on, I will stick with Pre-Wedding. A Pre-Wedding shoot serves a few purposes for both the photographer and to the couple…
Many people have never been photographed with professional cameras, they are big and can be quite intimidating especially as the biggest camera most people see these days is an iPhone. So having a Pre-Wedding session helps the couple understand the kind of equipment their photographer will be carrying on the Wedding Day, it also lets us get to know each other a little better. If the Bride and Groom have concerns about their ‘Best-Side’ or anything else that they may be worried about. From the photographers point of view it highlights if the couple blink together or independently!
We had great fun on the shoot and it was awesome to see how much the little one had grown up, great laughs, some good mickey-taking and then off for my favourite coffee at MORE? in Staveley. Its always a tough one, do you introduce more people to your favourite little cafe so it remains successful or keep it a secret 😉
All thoughts now look towards the Wedding, its going to be a cracker and as with all Weddings I am really looking forward to it !
Sarah and Ste will choose some images for the Signature Board, these are included for all Weddings and act as an open guest book, these are then framed for display in the home.
