I have known Emma the Bride since we were about 17 so it was an absolute delight to be invited to photograph her Wedding – we were re-introduced via Facebook. As part of my package I offer a Pre-Wedding shoot and in this instance it was my first opportunity to meet Tom the Groom. We got on straight away and the Pre-Wedding shoot also included Emma and Tom’s little boy who was an absolute dream – so cute !
For those that don’t know the New Dungeon Ghyll in the Langdale valley it is very, very dramatic and wow, what a place to get married, surrounded by just amazing scenery and to top it all off – the Wedding was in a TeePee, New Dungeon Ghyll also holds a plaque for ‘ A Best Loved Hotel of the World 2oo9 ‘
I arrived at the hotel to photograph the Bridal preparation with Saffron from Erica’s Hair Salon in Windermere and while she started on the girls I met up with the boys and went through the fianl plan of the day and met the Groomsmen – what a great bunch and they had everything under control, outstanding discipline guys ! I also have to say the flowers were gorgeous, nice work from The Flower Shop.
It looked like the Weather was going to be good to us so all the benches in the TeePee were called into action for Plan A – Emma and Tom were to be married under the Yew tree on the lawn – it was a lovely service with a rapturous round of applause. Great food and the speeches were amongst the best, well done. Emma looked amazing, as of course did Tom !
Lots of photos, lots of confetti, lots of fun, many Haribo, cake cutting below a mountain, loud music, dancing, crying, laughing, bouncing, drinking and singing – party on, a superb day had by all !
